CFHS Programme for September to December Session 2010 - 2011

On Wednesday 8th September 2010 in the Nethercliffe Hotel, Louisburgh Street , Wick at 7 p m, retired local teacher, Norma Sinclair, will give a talk entitled, "Education in Caithness ." We can expect some great stories gleaned from Norma's study of Caithness School Log Books of the 19th and early 20th Centuries.        Please note that the venue is Wick.

Wednesday 27th October at 7 pm is the date of the Annual General Meeting, which will take place in Caithness Horizons, Thurso. A good attendance is requested so that members can have their say.

Please note that this meeting is NOT on the usual second Wed. of the month

On Wednesday 10th November at 7 pm in Caithness Horizons, we will have local archaeologist, Paul Humphreys, giving  a talk entitled, "Origins of Rural Settlement." Paul is an expert in his field and is sure to give an excellent evening's education and entertainment.

December's meeting is still to be arranged. Details of it, and the 2011 meetings, will appear in the next issue of the Journal, but may be available on the website before then.

Note that the locations of two the September meeting is NOT Caithness Horizons.
