I have been trying to track down any information that I can, and everything leads me to Caithness or the Orkneys. I know that Greer Garson was a cousin. He was born in the early 1900's. Is Garson a scept of the clan Sinclair? In some books or by some resourses it is! Some say Gunn , some say a Caithness District Family. I know he had a twin brother that died at birth named Andrew. My son takes part in the highland games and has served on the committee for years and is very anxious to learn of his Scottish roots. Unfortunately, when my husband passed away, all the info left with him! Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Comments: Am so glad I found this site as I am tracing the family tree back to Latheron, Scotland. My ancestor was a James Sutherland, born 1830, in Latheron, who migrated to Australia in 1852. Parents were Alexander and Elizabeth (Innes) Sutherland. James had a brother and sister, Donald (born 1834)and Catherine Sutherland (born 1832) but have no information on the siblings.
