Notes on the 1901 Census for Wick Parish:
The whole parish fills two volumes, with an alphabetical index of names at the beginning of each.
Book 1 covers three areas: that part of the present Burgh of Wick which lies to the north of Wick River, the landward (country) area of Wick Parish which lies on the north side and three landward districts (Enumeration Districts 14, 15 and 16) which lie to the south side of the river.
Book 2 covers two areas: that part of the present Burgh of Wick which lies on the south side of Wick River and the landward (country) area of Wick Parish which lies on the south side, except for Enumeration Districts 14, 15 and 16, which can be found in Book 1.
